What are those Red-and-White Pills?

Those are adrenaline pills. In the real world they'd make you go faster. However since it would be rather impossible for a game to somehow make your brain work faster, instead them make the game go slower to imitate the net result. That way you can do things while everybody else around you goes in slow motion. This is perfect for sniping missions and other times when you need to shoot a lot of people very quickly.
