Grand Theft Auto Vice City Walkthrough:
Vigilante Missions

Be sure to get into an empty cop car. Now you can go chase down criminals and get bonusses for doing so! If you get out of your cruiser, you have a limited time to get into a new one before your mission ends.

Get to Level 12 of the Vigilante to increase your standard armor level to 150!

Note that there's also a cool Miami Vice Cheetah around - sometimes it'll chase you instead of a cop car when you have stars lit up. If you grab it, and get the (ahem) occupants out of it, you can do a vigilante in it!
