Dark Cloud 2 Walkthrough:
Combat Notes
Make sure you've studied the basic Moving Around & Controller Use first so you know the basic keys!!
You can do combo attacks by mashing the X button, including using the left joystick while attacking.
You can charge your attack by pressing down the X key. This is true both for all handheld attacks (swords, wrenches etc) as well as magic. With the magic charge, you hit maximum charge at four beeps. Holding it longer doesn't increase the damage.
If you press backwards while pressing X you can back flip!
Practice the use of the square button to use the active item. You have 3 active item spots in the top left of your screen. It's good to have bread sitting in one of the active spots so you can heal up very quickly.
