You chat with the medical examiner. The guy was shot at close range, and apparently was facing the shooter. Maybe was pleading for his life, you're not sure. It doesn't seem like an execution-style shooting. The victim let the shooter into the car voluntarily, too.

From the table get a wdding band, bullet, shirt, watch, pen, card, coins, blood, and medical documents. Send all off for labwork and research.
