Johnny Jump-Up
Growing Information and Photos
Johnny Jump-Up is a type of violet (Viola cornuta) that is native to Spain. This is also called a "pansy violet" since it looks very much like a pansy.
They have become wild across much of the United States as a result of their easy-to-grow nature. They will bloom for about a month. They make excellent beds around tree bases and edges.
These photos are all courtesy of Mensa Gardening SIG members. These Johnny Jump-Ups grow in Massachusetts. Enjoy!
