Donkey Tail
Growing Information and Photos
These photos are all courtesy of Mensa Gardening SIG members. These Donkey Tail grow in Massachusetts. Enjoy!
The Burro's Tail, or Sedum morganianum, is an easy to grow succulent that creates pink blooms in the spring. It easily grows from cuttings. It only needs light water when it gets dry. When the plant grows longer, it creates long, drooping tendrils of up to several feet which look (of course) like a burro's tail.
While the rumor is that this plant is a native of Mexico, no plantings of it have ever been found in the wild. The history of its cultivation remains a mystery.
Just water thoroughly once a week, and keep from freezing.
