Creating a Valentine's Day DVDValentine's Day present is made by hand, and speaks from the heart. Create a DVD of loving moments! If you don't have all your Super-8s and VHS tapes converted to DVD, now is the PERFECT time to do it. I have information on how to do the VHS -> DVD conversions yourself in the comfort of your own home, or you can of course mail your tapes off to a conversion place if you'd rather have someone else handle it for you. There are now conversion locations in just about every state and many do one-day turnaround for you. Once you have everything in DVD / MPG format, it's easy to start cutting and pasting! You can arrange all the scenes of people being happy and having fun, and play romantic music while this is happening. I *highly* recommend signing up for Napster, which is now 100% legal, and getting pretty much any song you want for only 99 cents each. It's the perfect way to get a collection of romantic songs for this project without buying a ton of CDs. Here are some classics to think about using: * You're my Best Friend * You Make Loving Fun * She's Got a Way * What a Wonderful World * I Saw Her Standing There * Always and Forever Get a blank DVD label and decorate it yourself with marker pens, signing and dating it. Now instead of a gift that will be tossed on a back shelf or consumed and forgotten, you're giving a gift that will be cherished and replayed often! Maybe it'll become an annual tradition to play the DVD with family and friends! DVD, VHS and Super-8 Info
