Creating Titles in Adobe Elements
How to Make a YouTube Video
It's time to add in titles to your work. It's always wise to add information about the video right IN the video. Think of those old family photos you have where NOBODY knows who is in the photo. Don't you wish someone had labelled them at the time? Your titles are your way to identify your videos so that future generations will know and appreciate what is contained in them.
To start with, click on the title tool. You'll see that you can add text in a variety of styles and alignments here. The key is to start simple. People don't like to read long tomes while watching a video. The intro title should simply set the stage for the video. Give the name of the event, and perhaps the date it took place.
When you get this basic information into the title, drag is in one of the video timeline tracks so that it is at the beginning of the timeline. You can have it "overlap" your video footage, to show up transparently over the beginning of the footage. Alternately, you can have it show all on its own, before the video starts. Practice with different options until you find one which works well for you.
Next, create a new title to use at the end of the video. This is where you put all the detailed information - who was in the video, details of where it was shot, your own information as the creator. That way all of the information is stored - right with the video - for anybody who is curious about the video's history.
