There may be times that you have a gigantic AVI file, but really want a smaller WMV video file, or perhaps an animated GIF file. This is where RiverPast comes in. This software takes in one format and with the push of a button outputs the format that you want.

The software, at RiverPast.com, is $29.95 and can be downloaded and instantly activated. Once you install it, using it is really pretty easy. Browse to find the file you want to begin with. choose the output format. Hit the button! It's relatively fast - a 10 minute AVI file took 30 minutes to turn into a WMV file. Compare that with other software packages that took 3 hours or more to create the output file.

You can do a trial version that does 2 minute output loops, with a little icon embedded into your video to indicate it was the free trial. It's worth giving that a try, to see if you like the output and want to buy the full version.
