Our branch of the family comes from North Eastern Pennsylvania; Scranton is my home town. Our records of the Fitzsimmons name goes to Robert Fitzsimmons 1840-1875 who married Mary Reilly in 1862. We think they had a farm in Waymart, Pennsylvania (also NE Pennsylvania), near Honesdale and Carbondale.
