SEE - At Arlington, NJ, February 5, of paralysis, ISAAC SEE, in the 67th year of his age. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral, at Arlington, this (Tuesday) afternoon, at two o'clock. Interment at Tarrytown. (Feb 5 1881) SEE - on Sunday, February 6, 1881, EMMA F, wife of Hewitt C. See, of North Tarrytown. The funeral will take place at her late residence, Depuyster St, Tuesday, February 8 at two PM William A SEE, son of Israel See d Aug 3 1882 drowned Mary Jane See died August 31st 1882 SEE - At North Tarrytown, Thursday Nov 15th 1883, Mrs Eliza Ann See, widow of the late Peter See, in her 93rd year. Funeral services, at her late residence on Monday, Nov 19th, at 11am. (hand note: M Louise See died January 4 1890) Many were surprised to learn of the death of Miss Louise See which occurred on Saturday last at the home of her mother Mrs Anthony M See in North Tarrytown. For a long time Miss See had been in failing health and consequently her death was not wholly unexpected by her family. Funeral services were held at her late residence Monday afternoon, the Rev B.L. Herr officiating. She leaves to mourn her loss, a mother, one sister (Mrs. Chas. Van Orden) of this place, and one brother Mr. De Witt C. See of Sandy Hill, NY. Interment in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
Friday May 25 1945. Mrs Anna A.S. Van Orden. Mrs. Anna Augusta See Van Orden, ninety, of 75 North Washington Street, died shortly before noon at the Tarrytown Hospital where she was under treatment for a fracture of one hip she suffered recently in a fall at her home. Mrs. Van Orden was the widow of Charles Van Orden, a retired banker and was widely known here. Her body was removed to the Vanderbilt Funeral Home from where it will be taken tomorrow to her residence to repose there. The funeral arrangements await the arrival of her nephews Clarence See of W? ... Arthur M See of ?? ... (cut off) MRS ANNA A. VANORDEN: The funeral of Mrs Anna Augusta Van Orden, the widow of Charles Van Orden who died in 1938 and who was for years cashier of the First National Bank of New York, will be held Monday afternoon from her residence at 75 North Washington Street, Tarrytown, at 2:30 with Rev. Howard C. Schade of the First Reformed Church officiating. Mrs. Van Orden, ninety, who died yesterday at the Tarrytown Hospital was a lifelong resident here. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Susan DeVoe See and descended from the earliest settlers of this region before the Revolutionary War. She was born in North Tarrytown. She was one of the oldest members of the First Reformed Church, which had its inception in the Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, which her forefathers attended. Mrs. Van Orden's body is reposing at the residence, where it was removed today from the Vanderbilt Funeral Home.
Marriage: John J See & Emma Birdsall, July 30th, 1873 VAN ORDEN - SEE - On Wednesday, Oct 6th, at the residence of the bride's parents, North Tarrytown, by the Rev J.K. Allen, Charles Van Orden to Gussie, daughter of Anthony M. See (1880? hard to read) WEDDING BELLS. On Wednesday evening, Oct 6th, a very pleasant company of relative and friends gathered at the residence of Mr. A.M. See, on Beekman Ave, to witness the marriage ceremony of his daughter Gussie, to Mr. Chalres Van Orden. After the congratulations were given the company were invited to the dining-room where a most sumptuous repast was served to which the company did ample justice. About 9:30 o'clock the Tarrytown Band discoursed some of its sweetest strains. The party dispersed at midnight wishing the happy couple good luck through life. The bride and groom left Tarrytown on Wednesday morning for a week's trip through Pennsylvania. Mr. an Orden is the popular clerk in teh RR Ticket office at this place. (1880)
