William Shea b 1770 Tralee, Kerry; arrived in Canada 1799 with wife Cecilia Kelly. Member of the Royal Cork City Regiment 4 years, transfered to 41st British Regiment of Foot, finally 99th Regiment, war of 1812-1814 Canada, retired to Richmond Ontario 1821.
Children born in Canada: Marie b 1800; Nancy/Ann b 1801 married Peter McGinn moved to Petersville, Iowa; Jane married Thomas McCabe 1839 Richmond Ont; Elizabeth b 1809; John Joseph b 1813 married Mary Roane Richmond Ont; Catherine married John Murphy 1842 Fallowfield Ont; William b 1817 Chambly Quebec married Sarah Kelly 1837 Fallowfield Ont.
Son John Joseph Shea b 1813, and Mary Roane, their children: Wm b 1843, Thomas Roland, b 1845, John b 1847, Edward b 1849, Alice b 1851, Joseph b 1853, Mary b 1855, James b 1859 last known in Little Falls, NY, Briget Therese b 1862.
