I too come from a long line of Shea/O'Shea's from Kerry, specifically from the town of Cahersiveen and I am very interested in communicating with other O'Sheas with similar interests.

My G-Grandfather, John Valentine O'Shea was born in Cahersiveen on Feb 13, 1887. His parents were Michael B. O'Shea (Caherciveen Town) and Margaret Anne O'Reilly (Scariiff). They were married on April 8, 1883 in Catholic Chapel of St. Finians, Spunkane, Emlagh, Caherciveen, Kerry, Ireland. I believe that Michael had another son Michael and a daughter Margaret as well. Michael's father was Bartholomew O'Shea (Cahersiveen Town) and Maragret's father was James O'Reilly (Scariff) who was born in 1832.

Both Bartholomew, his son Michael B. and his son Michael (??) were all Merchant Tailors in Cahersiveen Town. I don't know if that helps any but I put it in because it may isolate the family from a large group of O'Sheas with the same first names. From information and old maps that I have I believe that they lived on High Street in Cahersiveen.
