I am looking for information about my great great grandparents. Catherine Shea married John Murphy. They had a son named Peter Murphy (my great grandfather) he was baptized in Skibbereen Co. Cork, Ireland in April 1858. His god mother was Mary Shea. I believe she was Catherine Shea's sister. Peter Murphy immigrated in 1882 to Philadelphia, Pa. His parents Catherine and John stayed at the family farm in Drishanbeg a district outside of Skibbereen. They also had a son Patrick who stayed in Ireland. And a daughter Catherinewho immigrated to Philadelphia. I have been told that they had more children but I have been unable to trace them. Any information would be helpful. Thank You.
