SHEA GENEOLOGY
OLDHAM
Need help locating family of George Shea arrived Port of Boston, on
Ship-Parliament; sailed from the Port
of Liverpool Oct.02, 1850.
George Shea age 40 Tailor Country to which belonged----Ireland,
Wife Mary Shea 35, George 5, Hannah 7,
Mary and Eliza listed as infants ;
Bridget Higgins 25, and William Lynch 19
listed with family.
My gr-father George Shea , according 1910 census b. 1867 in Maine. His
parents were supposely killed
in a train accident when he was about 4, and he and a younger brother,
Frank Shea were brought over
a mountain by his grandfather to live in Maine where he supposely grew up.
He was working in log woods
near Canadian border when he ran away at age 17....@1784. Next find him in
Tenn. marrying in
Carter Co. Tn. Dec. 1902.
He worked as a coal miner, and logger, till his death in 1925 near
Burnside, Ky.
Thank you for any help or information. Have not been able to locate on any
census or record prior 1902.
