While you always know that Miss Bennet is Lizzie, you rarely know what Mr. Darcy's real first name is! It is Fitzwilliam. Nobody ever calls him by it.

Mr. Darcy is proud and cultured, and rarely talks with anybody. In the A&E version, he makes many comments that indicate how alike he is to Lizzie. They both are witty, they both do not like to prattle on, they both are loyal to friends and are willing to hold resentments where they feel they are deserved.
