Mr. Bennet

I have mixed emotions about Mr. Bennet. On one hand he loves Lizzie, stands up for her and is smart, well read, witty and can be kind. On the other hand, he can be quite scathing to his own family members, not caring at all if they are sad and hurt - he just bashes them and expects them to deal with it. This is most evident in the book and in the A&E version.

He really likes his library, his books and his port.
