Blackstone Valley Golf Course, SuttonThis restaurant appears to be elegant and perhaps even intimidating on their website, with white linen and shining wood. In reality, they eased up on the stiffness a while ago, when they realized that grubby golfers fresh off the green were not really interested in worrying about dirt on the floor. The tables are now bare wood, and it's more of a relaxed pub-style environment than a stiff-collar place. I've been here a few times - in addition to lunch and dinner they also occasionally have wine-related special events. The menu is on the short side but is tasty. They even have low carb options for those who are watching their weight. There are a few beers and wines on the menu, too. The staff is very friendly and doesn't mind at all if you hang out and talk for hours - either inside by the big windows, or outside on the patio. There are even wooden lounge chairs on the grass for sitting and drinking, watching the golfers going by. A great way to spend a leisurely afternoon!
Menu: Not huge, but tasty pub-style food and sandwiches
