Texas BBQ, Marlboro Restaurant ReviewI love BBQ food - especially pulled pork. When a group of friends suggested we meet up at Texas BBQ in Marlboro, I was quite happy with the theme! We had a table for 9 people which the staff set up quickly and efficiently for us. The dining room isn't huge, but there was plenty of room for us all, and several other tables had diners come and go while we had our lengthy dinner. This is family-casual, with old fashioned ketchup bottles serving as containers for hot and mild BBQ sauce in addition to ketchup. We tried a variety of BBQ offerings. I enjoyed my pulled pork, it was fresh and tasty. The mild sauce was mild, as advertised. The true hot sauce fans might have wanted a hotter hot-sauce, but you run into that issue everywhere. Some people want their mouths burnt off :) My only real complaint on the main meal is that I had a regular side salad with ranch - but I would have loved more "green" side options. They had potato, potato and more potato (and beans). I was really craving the cucumber side that other similar restaurants offer. Still, the green bean side was tasty enough. The wine list was a bit short - our White Zin drinker was out of luck tonight. Wine apparently isn't ordered often here - several new bottles were opened for us when we ordered specific wines on the list. I imagine most BBQ people tend to drink beer instead. For dessert, there were several homemade pies on the list, including blueberry pie and pecan pie. Ice cream was available on the side. The ambiance was casual but comfy, and the staff were certainly there to make sure we were taken care of. Well recommended!
