River Stone
This is perhaps one of my favorite stones to use in jewelry and origami. The tradition of a river stone being gently tumbled for year after year, becoming smooth and strong at the same time, is very powerful. If you look in classic Japanese and Chinese gardens, you will often find a river stone as a focal point - or perhaps an entire "river" of river stones threading its way through the garden.
River stones represent the strength to last through the ups and downs of life, as well as the gentleness to be smooth, gentle and beautiful. Perfect for those who adore water and nature.
