Textured Origami Crane Earrings
Here are photos of textured origami crane earrings. These are made with a textured washi paper that has pastel colored floral decorations on it. I hand cut this paper down from its original 6" square size to a tiny 2" square in order to fold them. This pair of earrings was then decorated with pearlescent beads, to bring out the springtime colors even further. You can see how how the textured paper is thick and fabric like, and the fold lines are "soft" as a result. The crane earrings made with regular origami washi have crisp edges and lines, while this crane is more like a folded fabric crane.
