Window Origami Mobile
Origami mobiles are perfect in every room. But what about a room where you can't hang things from the ceiling? How about an office cubicle, a school locker, or just any room that you have flat wall / window space and not ceiling space? The window origami mobile is the perfect solution!
This origami mobile uses the mini 3" x 3" sized paper, meaning that the resulting full mobile can easily fit in a standard window pane of glass. Having light streaming past the mobile is a lovely effect. This size and flat design also makes the mobile perfect for hanging on a cubicle wall at your office, or in other flat areas. You can use the colors of a rainbow, the colors of the chakra, or any other color scheme that appeals to you.
Here is an indication of the size of this mobile - there is a quarter pinned to the curtain up above the mobile, for scale. The width on the dowel is about 10" long.
Here's another view of the rainbow mobile style. In this particular version, I was able to track down small beads in rainbow colors, so there was a red bead beneath the red crane and so on. It was a lot of fun, but it was a challenge to find those beads! It's much easier to find the white ones, but let me know if you like the color-matching version better for your own window decoration plans.
Here's another rainbow mobile which also uses the colored gems. This one went pink-red-orange-yellow insted of the above ones which had a dark and light blue.

I was making window mobiles for a certain group of friends, and here they all were, with the super glue drying :) Mobiles are incredibly hard to balance properly so that everything hangs just perfectly, so I superglue the strings in place once I get everything set just right, so they do not move in shipping. For these mobile sets, one was a rainbow, all shades of purple, another was all shades of pink, and one had lovely greens.
