Shamrock Celtic Polymer Clay Journals

I am a great fan of the Celtic culture. I've been to Ireland several times, have written a book on Irish romantic customs, and love Irish music. I enjoy having journals with Irish themes to them.

Shamrock Polymer Clay Journal

This Shamrock journal was created with green polymer clay. I ran it through the pasta machine until it was almost the right thinnness. I created three strings of gold clay and created three spirals, and pressed them into the green cover. I then ran it through the pasta machine again. Next I took a gold shamrock charm, from a charm set, and pressed it into the center. I carved out the holes on the left before baking.

For the insides, I began with sheets of 3.4" x 3.4" memo paper, colored light green. I have a Swingline hole punch that is great for creating two holes evenly without any fuss. Then comes the connection. These brads are from Michael's fabric store.

I hand curled a stretch of wire into a spiral for the bottom right corner, it's a signature I like to put on my journals.
