PMC Firing Dish

When you fire a three dimensional object that needs to be supported by vermiculite, you don't want the vermiculite getting all over the kiln and making a mess. This is where a firing dish comes in handy.

You absolutely need a firing dish that can withstand the heat of the kiln! You don't want the firing dish exploding during the kiln process and destroying everything inside the kiln (and perhaps the kiln itself). Normal things you put in an oven, like Pyrex, will NOT work in a kiln.

This firing dish I own is made from fused silica and is completely safe in high kiln temperatures. I definitely recommend it.
