Flourless Chocolate Cake RecipeFlourless chocolate cake can be time consuming, but the effort is worth it. This case is dense and very richly flavored. This is often served with raspberries. 1/2 cup water 1 cup sugar 8 oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped fine 4 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped fine 1 cup unsalted butter 6 large eggs, at room temperature 1/3 cup sugar Whipped cream for topping Boil the water and sugar in a saucepan. Boil for about 4 minutes and then add in both chocolates. Take off the heat and stir until smooth. Add in the butter, cut up into small pieces. Using a mixer, whip the eggs and sugar for 15 minutes until stiff. Put mixer on low and stir in chocolate. Grease a 9" round pan and pour the chocolate mixture into it. Float this pan in a larger baking pan with boiling water in the larger pan. Cook for 25 minutes at 350F. Serve with whipped cream either warm or cold. Lisa's Dessert Recipes Listing
