Carl Perkins and the Blue Suede ShoesCarl Perkins came up with the lyrics to Blue Suede Shoes in a dream. They became a huge hit for Elvis! It all began when Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins were out singing together. They were lining up for food after a gig and they heard someone further down in line cry out, "don't step on my blue suede shoes!" Cash told Perkins that that would make a great song title. Later in his career, Carl Perkins was playing a gig and saw a couple dancing. The guy was angry with the girl for stepping on his shoes while dancing. That night as he slept, the two images formed together, and he woke up with the lyrics to his new song! He turned the song over to Elvis, and the rest is history! Famous Inspirational Dreams
