Love and Feng ShuiWe all need love. Love brings us joy, soothes us when we're sad, and encourages us to greater heights. How can feng shui help you find and nurture love? Here are ideas to optimize the love in your life.
In most cultures, red is the color of romance. Studies find that when men look at photos of women, those shown in a red frame are rated as more attractive. Men who tell stories of spotting an ideal woman often have her in a red dress. So add red to your world!
We all find different types of images to be romantic. Some love red roses. Others love hearts. Whatever images call to you, bring those into your environment.
Give your bedroom a fresh revamping. If you have a single bed, it's definitely time to upgrade to a queen! Keep the room clean, neat, and welcoming. Make sure the images you have in there bring to mind romance. You may love your triply-divorced fairly grumpy aunt, and her photo could be perfect for the living room. In the bedroom, you want to have images that bring to mind serene, happy couples.
Think of the items you wear. Are they romantic? Look at the necklaces, earrings, and other items in your wardrobe. Select items that feel romantic to you. Again, it's important to go with your own feelings here. If a jade-selling website tells you to wear jade, but jade always reminds you of your abusive ex-boyfriend, then you should stay far away from it. Go with what feels perfect for your own intentions.
In my case, I tend to be fairly direct. I have the Japanese kanji for "love" on a red background hanging in my bedroom. Every time I look at it I feel a strong sense of love. I have peach candles.
What items say "love" to you? Fill your world with them!
