V05 Silky Experiences Smoothing Shampoo

My hair is often very long, and it gets flyaway based on the weather. When I need a shampoo that will help keep it calm and straight, I go with the V05 Silky Experiences.

I like the aroma and purple color - the lavender is very soothing and relaxing. The texture is reasonable - not too thin so it does not get to all of my hair, but not so thick that it's hard to get through the thick layers. It lathers up nicely, to get in all the nooks and crannies.

I don't consider shampoo overly necessary to do the "smoothing" part of my hair routine. After all, you rinse it off and then put on a conditioner. Whatever benefits the shampoo provides are mostly gone, and the actual look and feel of your hair are primarily determined by the conditioner and after-products you use.

Still, I usually have a "cleaning" shampoo and a "smoothing" shampoo on hand, and choose whichever one I feel is more critical for the day. For the times that it seems the humidity or weather were really going to cause an issue for me with wild hair, the extra smoothing this shampoo offers does seem to help out.
