Tranquil

Yosa Buson was a Japanese poet who lived from 1716 to 1783. He traveled all over Japan. Finally he got married at age 45 and had one daughter.

Misty grasses,
Quiet waters,
It's evening.
-- Yosa Buson

An alternate translation of this poem is a bit more explicit:

Grasses are misty,
The waters silent --
A tranquil evening.

Here is a bookmark I made of this haiku. I took the photo of a sunset from a kayak on a lake.
