Pocket is part of the Simon and Schuster publishing group. As of October 2008 their website says:
How do I submit my manuscript for review?
Simon & Schuster does not accept unsolicited manuscripts. We suggest that prospective authors submit their manuscripts through a professional literary agent.
I do not have any experience with this publisher. They do publish romance novels which are widely distributed.
