Storms Haiku

Snowbird huddles, the
leaf over-head forms a
rainy waterfall.

Words last; forked tongues strike
at tender wounds with fury -
After comes the rains.

Leaves cling tightly to
branches lashed by pouring rain;
hoping for a calm.

Jagged streak slices
cloud from earth, land from ocean,
as the storm rolls in.
