Content Rating Details - Trusting in FaithThis page has spoilers in it! It describes the content of Trusting in Faith for those who want to know more about these areas. In general all of my stories are gently written - they do not contain explicit details of encounters or violence.
The heroine, Sarah, is a midwife who lives with her loving family. Her parents provide a good example of a healthy married relationship. Sarah is a virgin and falls in love with Reynald. They grow to respect each other's honor. It is only when Reynald is about to head off into a battle which seems a suicide mission that she gives herself to him. He asks several times if she's sure, and the next morning he proposes. The encounter is not graphically described, but the language does show that he realizes she's a virgin and that he wants to stop as a result. This is the only real scene of intimacy in the book.
There are several fights in the novel, but none are graphic in nature. They are described enough that the reader knows what is going on, without excessive detail.
Alcohol was the normal drink in medieval days. The alcohol sanitized the liquid and made it safe to drink. Milk was not pasteurized in these times, so even kids drank watered-down alcohol. There is alcohol present in the story, but it is always in a supporting role to the story.
Please let me know if you have any other questions about the specifics of this novel.
