Trim Treats Low Fat SnacksTrim Treats is very clearly a snack product, not a food meant for full feeding. The feeding chart on the back indicates that for an average 10 pound cat they should get up to 20 little treats in a given day. The treats are maybe 1" long, and in the salmon case they are shaped like little brown crunchy fish. I have to point out that cats don't have a real problem with "fat". The fat amounts in most cat foods are very important for daily cat health. If you look at my Nutritional Comparison Chart you'll see that if you're feeding your cat wet food, they are getting just the right amount of fat. So having a "low fat treat" really isn't key. Having a "healthy treat" is key. So what are the ingredients here?
Brewers Rice OK these are some pretty scary things. Protein digest means it could be ground up fish bones - and look at all the stuff that shows up on the list BEFORE that item! Rice? Corn? Those are hardly normal things in a cat's diet. Cats by their nature don't like to eat hard, crunchy foods. When they are eating mice and birds in the wild, they eat the soft, gooey things.
