What Color Keet Should I Get?

Parakeets come in MANY different colors. I currently have a green parakeet, a blue parakeet, a spotted parakeet (blue and white) and a very pale blue parakeet. Parakeets come in yellow, purple, and other color variations too. Green is the "natural" color for a parakeet, and blue is another very popular color that has been bred. ALL of these are still parakeets, just like both a Great Dane and a Sheepdog are still dogs. They just look a bit different.

You can get any color the pet store has for you, and it will make NO difference at all to the keet's personality. It's like you coloring your hair black or red. You are still you, it's just an external difference that you are making.

Some stores charge more for some colors. They do that because people will pay more :) It doesn't mean the keet is any different as far as "being a keet".
