Beyond Pesticides - Asthma in Children

Parakeets have very small lungs which we know are sensitive to "normal" substances like cigarette smoke and incense. It makes a great deal of sense that inhaling an *actual poison* that is meant to harm living tissue would seriously damage a parakeet's lungs.

Chemicals do not just flush out of a house after an hour or two. The chemicals cling to the fabrics of the home, and to the surfaces. A thorough cleaning needs to be done, to remove all traces of the poison before a pet or child can safely be returned to that environment.
