Two Generations of Parakeet Owners

Thank you for a wonderful web site!! It was very informative and positive. I love parakeets and grew up with them. I taught my son how to take care of them as well. Now he's 20 and we are both wanting the thrill of raising parakeets once again. Can't wait!! Thank you once again for your web site.

I'm glad to be a help! My mom had parakeets growing up so there were parakeets around from when I was a baby. I have always loved them, they are so easy to care for, so smart and friendly. I really think they're the perfect pet. Cats can claw up furniture, dogs need to go for walks all the time. Other pets are even more tricky to care for. But with parakeets, they just warble contentedly and snuggle with you.
