My Parakeet is Scared

i just got my 2 birds (half and hour ago) and i am soo freaking out! They arent' doing anytihgn...and they are too young.....not that young....they just cant fly yet...and....they havent touched the food yet either...and one is sleeping ...(not sleeping....like just closing his eyes) is he sick?....i am just so nervous...what shoudl i do? shold i leave them alone? or be with them?

If you only got them half an hour ago, they are still barely settling in. What if you were grabbed out of your house by a monstrously gigantic hand and brought to a new place that was scary? You have to give them at LEAST a week to settle in before they will start to be comfortable and act even normally, and it will easily take several weeks before they start to trust you. These are pretty much wild animals, remember!
