Buying a Second Parakeet

I goto 6 hours of school Mon- Fri, should I get another parakeet? If so,

could this interfere with teaching him/her how to talk? Would it be

harder to train them both at the same time?

Six hours away really isn't very bad - that can be when the parakeet takes it's "afternoon nap" :) If you want to train your keet to talk, it's easiest to do that when it's alone and only talking to you. That'll help it want to speak your language. Remember though that not all parakeets learn how to talk. So after maybe 6 months or so, if your keet doesn't show any signs of talking, I'd get him a friend to hang out with and enjoy their normal whistles and noises :)
