Three Budgies at Once

User Question
Hi, Really enjoy your great website about Budgies.

I just bought 3 budgies all at the same time, couldn't resist their pretty

colors. =) I know it would be easier to tame if I only have One. Now I have a hard time to Hand Tame all Three budgies together and I Kinda regret it to

purchase 3 at the same time.

Should I give up two budgies and just concentrate in One? (A friend of mine is interested in budgies too, maybe I can give the two to him). Or should I keep all three of them and just Have to be patient and keep trying?

Please give me some advice.

Lisa's Answer
Now that you have them all getting used to being in a flock, it's be pretty cruel to yank two of them away and have a remaining lonely one. You can definitely hand tame all three of them, so just follow through the instructions on the site step by step. It is sometimes even easier with multiple keets, as one will get comfortable with you and the other two will follow the braver parakeet's lead.
