Keets are Soaking their Food

I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT MY 2 PARAKEETS. I LOVE THOSE 2 LITTLE GUYS SO MUCH. THEY ARE SO CUTE. I CLEAN THEIR CAGE OUT EVERY OTHER DAY AND KEEP FRESH FRUIT, SPINICH, CARROT, EGG, WHEAT BREAD IN THEIR CAGE ALMOST EVERY DAY BECAUSE THEY LOVE IT BUT THEY ALWAYS PUT ALL THEIR GOODIES LIKE THE BREAD AND CARROTS AND EGG IN THEIR WATER DISH. THEIR WATER GETS DIRTY AND I HAVE TO CHANGE IT LIKE 4 TIMES A DAY. ONCE I CHANGE IT THEY PUT THE BREAD AND STUFF RIGHT BACK IN THE WATER.

ARE THEY JUST HAVING FUN OR SHOULD I NOT GIVE THEM THAT STUFF?? USUALLY WHEN THEY PUT THE SPINICH IN THE WATER THEY END UP EATING OUT OF THE WATER SOMETIME AFTER THEY PUT IT IN THE WATER.

It sounds like your keets are very mischevious! If they really enjoy dunking their food, I would let them do it. You can get a second water server that has a really narrow spout, and have that one be for their drinking water. That way you can just change the food soaking tub daily or so :)

It's great that you are so wonderful about feeding your keets fresh food and keeping their cage clean. I'm sure the keets really appreciate that!
