Parakeets Chewing their Paper

My keets always chew and seem to eat the paper I place in their cage when I clean it. How can I keep them from chewing up and eating their cage papers?

Parakeets LOVE to chew things up. You can't really yell at them for chewing, it's what they do. Just give them more paper to chew, to make a giant pile of paper fluff from :) Give them wood toys, cuttlebones and chewy food like celery and lettuce. It's one of their fun passions in life :)
