Sqwalking Bird Yells All Day

My bird squalks ALL DAY. Any ideas n how we can get him to be quiet? We now have a dark towel over the cage, but it is only a temporary solution.

Birds only squalk all day if they are feeling abandoned (or if people around them are yelling a lot). Or I suppose the third thing is if they're in pain and trying to tell you that. So I suppose first I would take him to a vet. If the bird is said to be OK, look at your environment. Are you guys yelling and screaming? If you are, you can hardly blame the bird for thinking this is normal. If none of that is true, then start spending more time with the bird. Make sure he's in the center room where people are and you spend time with him daily. A bird that is loved tends to act happy and peaceful.
