Not Ready for Breeding

User Question
My birds (1 male, 1 female) layed 5 eggs about a few days ago. I am stuck, kinda nervous, because I don't know what to do. Yes, I have read in a lot of other websites that "your not ready for this, it's a dangerous thing. Go get help from a vet". But I am kinda rushed with this and I need help now! So can you give me any advie other than, "go get help"? I don't know what to feed them, or when I can handle them after they have hatched... please give me as much advice as possible! Thanks!!!

Lisa's Answer
It sounds like you got the advice and aren't following it! Go set up an appointment with your vet and talk to him or her - raising baby parakeets is an incredibly serious underatking and requires a lot of supplies and training. You need to get that information SUPER quickly now in person from someone in your town - not third hand from a website. You need to get a vet involved so he / she is prepared when / if you need to rush a bird in. The vet may very well want you to bring the parakeets and eggs in so the parents can get a checkup before this gets more serious.
