Loud Room
User Question
When I first got my two parakeets, I had them in my room, which I'm rarely in. But then I read that you recommend them being in the most commonly used room, so I moved them up on top of my entertainment center in my living room. My problem/question is, is there are seven people living here, including a very loud and hyper 3-year-old, and a mentally handicapped brother who's 14. So, it is very loud in my living room just about all day. I'm worried this may scary my birds and do them more harm than good. Should I move them back into my room, or leave them in my living room?
PS: Thanks for creating this site! :) It's wonderful and has helped me enormously.
Lisa's Answer
Actually birds like noise and excitement, it makes them happy to be with interesting things going on. They like that far more than being alone and abandoned in a place with nobody else. As long as they're somewhere safe where they won't be banged at or grabbed at, they'll probably enjoy the excitement :)
