My Parakeet will Only Eat Millet

I've had my parakeet for about four days now, and all I've seen him eat is pellets and millets. He won't eat whole wheat bread, his treats, or any fruits and veggies I offer him.

Parakeets are much like toddlers. Millet is much like ice cream. It is sweet and full of fat. If you offer your parakeet millet every day, that is all they will eat. You need to deliberately choose a better way to feed your parakeet, and take the time to train your keet that these new foods are "safe" and not poisonous. Read through the pages and you should get there!
