How do they talk and use their vocal chords?

I'm not sure what the question is - vocal chords work the same way in pretty much all creatures :) They vibrate and a noise comes out. There are all sorts of cool sites on the web that show how a person sings, with the muscles moving and changing the length of the vocal chords. It's just like a person playing a guitar and using their fingers to change the string length.
