Feeding your Keet Veggies

WOW!!! Has your site helped out or what! Well, my question is How do you give your parakeet some berries or veggies if it doesn't trust you yet? Should I just put it in his bowl of seeds? I don't see how he can gnaw on it if it just lays there. Or try to give it to him with my fingers? I don't want to scare him. Can you help me out?

It's very smart of you to think about this! Yes when you have the keet hand trained it all becomes much easier. But for now, they sell all sorts of clips in pet stores to hold the food firmly on the cage. I use the binder clips you find in stationary stores. Just clip the lettuce or broccoli or carrot pieces to the cage, that way your keet can gnaw away without the food rolling away. The little seed cups work well for things like hard boiled egg.
