Parakeet Size

Hi, I am about to buy a parakeet from a local pet store. I have had my eye on this sort of smaller parakeet that is yellow in color and is very athletic. Does size make any difference on how the parakeet acts? I have never had a parakeet before but my friend has and I immediatly liked them a lot. Well I would like to know, I have a parakeet cage, but dont have any toys. Should I wait to buy toys until it has fully adapted to that cage? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Parakeet size really has nothing to do with its personality, so choose whatever size and shape parakeet appeals to you :) I would get one or two toys, so the keet has something to play with from the beginning, but you can always get more as you go and then swap them out for interest!
