Working at Night - Taking the Keet

User Question
On the first couple of nights that I have my parakeet I will be working at night, is it alright if I bring her to the home that I work in by transporting her in her cage in my car? Or should I just leave her at home?

Lisa's Answer
I would leave the keet at home, so the keet can settle in and get comfortable with her new environment. She might actually appreciate the quiet time, because remember keets sleep from dusk to dawn, just like most wild animals. So you want that night time to be quiet, calm and stationary. She probably won't even notice you're gone since she'll be in the dark and covered up.
