Millet Gone Bad
User Question
I just bought a new bag of millet spray, but when comparing it to the last spray from the previous bag (different brand) I noticed it was a much browner color (the other one is much more blond-colored). It doesn't appear to be moldy or anything obvious like that, so perhaps it's just another millet variety, but I don't want to poison my keets. I did a Google search but came up with no useful information, so I thought I'd ask you...
I guess another related question is--if it's bad, will my keets know better than to eat it?
Thanks so much for your site--it's really well organized, and packed with helpful information!
Lisa's Answer
Keets aren't exactly brilliant about what to eat and what to not eat. They gnaw on lots of inedible things and they refuse to eat lots of edible things. They are like 3 year olds. So I wouldn't trust them to know what was good and what was not good.
